जब मांग एवं पूर्ति वक्र दोनों एक साथ शिफ्ट होते हैं तो 4 संभावित स्थितियाँ हो सकती हैं-
(When both the demand and supply curves shift simultaneously, there can be 4 possible situations)-
1. मांग और पूर्ति वक्र का दाँयी ओर शिफ्ट होना।
(Shifting the demand and supply curve to the right.)
2. मांग और पूर्ति वक्र का बाँयी ओर शिफ्ट होना।
(Shift of demand and supply curve to the left.)
3. पूर्ति वक्र का बाँयी ओर तथा मांग वक्र का दाँयी ओर शिफ्ट होना।
(Supply curve shift to the left and the demand curve to the right.)
4. पूर्ति वक्र का दाँयी ओर तथा मांग वक्र का बाँयी ओर शिफ्ट होना।
(Shifting of the supply curve to the right and the demand curve to the left.)

प्रथम स्थिति (First position)- आइए अब प्रथम स्थिति पर विचार करें, मांग और पूर्ति वक्र दोनों ही जब दाँयी ओर शिफ्ट होते हैं तो वस्तु की संतुलन सप्लाई कर्व में शिफ्ट मात्रा में वृद्धि होती है परंतु संतुलन कीमत में वृद्धि हो सकती है, कमी हो सकती है अथवा वह अपरिवर्तित भी रह सकती है यह इस बात पर निर्भर करता है की मांग एवं पूर्ति वक्र में किस परिमाण में शिफ्ट हुआ है।

द्वितीय स्थिति (Second position)- जब मांग और पूर्ति वक्र दोनों ही बाँयी ओर शिफ्ट होते हैं तब निश्चित रूप से वस्तु की संतुलन मात्रा में कमी आती है परंतु कीमत अपरिवर्तित रह सकती है या इसमें वृद्धि या कमी भी हो सकती है यह इस बात पर निर्भर करता है की मांग एवं पूर्ति वक्र में किस परिमाण में शिफ्ट हुआ है।

तृतीय स्थिति (Third position)- जब पूर्ति वक्र में शिफ्ट बाँयी ओर तथा मांग वक्र में दाँयी ओर शिफ्ट होता है तब निश्चित रूप से संतुलन कीमत में वृद्धि होती है परंतु संतुलन मात्रा अपरिवर्तित रह सकती है अथवा इसमें कमी सप्लाई कर्व में शिफ्ट सप्लाई कर्व में शिफ्ट अथवा वृद्धि भी हो सकती है यह शिफ्ट के परिमाण पर निर्भर करता है।

चतुर्थ स्थिति (Fourth Position)- जब पूर्ति वक्र में दाँयी ओर तथा मांग वक्र में बाँयी ओर शिफ्ट होता है तब संतुलन कीमत में निश्चित रूप से कमी होती है परंतु संतुलन मात्रा अपरिवर्तित रह सकती है अथवा इसमें कमी अथवा वृद्धि भी हो सकती है। यह भी मांग एवं पूर्ति वक्र के शिफ्ट के परिमाण पर निर्भर करता है।
When the supply curve shifts to the right and the demand curve to the left, there is a definite decrease in the equilibrium price but the equilibrium quantity may remain unchanged or it may increase or decrease.
